We’ve been on a lookout for a high chair for Luna the past weeks. Instead of buying a brand new high chair, we decided to go for a used one and customize it. I found this wooden high chair on craigslist for $25.00. It had a nice shape to it so I bought it, sanded it, primed it then painted it red. A small can of paint was $20.00 so all in all, her high chair only cost us $45.00! It’s a great looking high chair for a small price tag. And, it was customized especially for her.

I love your dining room. The chair looks great with the picture you have above the dining table. It really brings the whole room together.

I love it!
Great Idea! I might go for something like that for my baby :)
In the meanwhile… where did you get your lamp? It is absolutly gorgeous!
We got our chandelier from a local light store years ago… Velocity design (http://www.velocityartanddesign.com) has some awesome chandeliers!
Thanks! iy’s really beautiful :)
Question, in case you happen to see this comment: What kind of paint did you use? It looks great, and it can be so hard to get good coverage in red!
Hi Christa,
I just used General Paint. It was actually fairly easy to get the coverage. I only did 2 coats of paint. But I sanded it and primed it first.
Good luck!

Hi there, I stumbled across your blog via Ohdeedoh and omg I love your stuff. Beautiful.
This chair is from IKEA. We have the same and seeing it in red makes me want to paint ours now. ;)

That combination of the DIY red highchair and linear painting, topped off by the simplicity of those white chairs— perfect!
