I seem to have an obsession with cups. I don’t know what it is but I think that my coffee tastes better in a cup that has a nice shape or pattern to it. Part of my enjoyment of drinking coffee is the cup itself – it’s part of the experience. As soon as I step into a vintage or a home store, I go straight for the cups. I always stop myself from buying them as we have way more then what we need but just admiring them makes me happy. A few that I absolutely love, but don’t have yet, are: Sentou-ti cups, cinq cups, zipper cups, Fellina Sok-Cham espresso cups, ABC Paper Cups, & Marimekko Oiva cups.

Gotta love a good cup! I think the drink definitely tastes better in a pretty cup :)
I almost bought these from starbucks! They look so cute, might have to get them next time I get my coffee!
i have the same problem but with bowls … i have them all over my house & it drives the hubby nuts. Though i admit vintage isn’t a requirement just cute … some are practical (makes eating my rice crispies in the morning a wonderful experience) & some just pretty looking. But i love them all the same!
Oh you are so right about the cup being part of the experience of drinking coffee (and tea)! My boyfriend thinks I’m insane for insisting on different cups for my morning cup of tea, my afternoon tea and my evening tea, and the same goes of course for coffee at different times of the day!
i totally agree.. i’m the only one in my office who brings his own cup so I can use it to refill my coffee everday.. everyone else uses those disposables. so passé… =)
Good on you, Francis. At my work, we use compostable paper cups but that shouldn’t be carte blanche to use as many disposables per day as you want. Clearly the best choice is to use real cups.
