Summer is all about quick weekend getaways and doing a whole lot of swimming. Over the weekend, we hopped on the ferry and headed to Parksville (a city on Vancouver Island). We stayed overnight at a cute little place by the beach and went swimming, collected shells, checked out the annual sandcastle competition at the beach, evening & morning beach strolls and explored. I love these little weekend getaways. It’s an easy mini vacation and we get to explore a place we’ve never been before. This is what summer is all about.
