These beautiful handmade vintage kitchen linens are finally available in the shop! Salvaged in Romania for The New Domestic. They were made a generation or more ago when they still grew hemp and flax on family farms and then processed it by hand — hand-processed, hand-spun, organic hemp that was woven on authentic hand-looms. The fabric was traditionally made for grain sacks that families brought to the communal mill. Each stripe pattern is the graphic signature of a different family.

Our linens come in various sizes & styles. Since these are vintage, our stock is very limited and once a style is sold out, we won’t be able to get the exact same kind again.

We carry 100% organic hemp linen and hemp/cotton blends. Hemp fiber is anti-bacterial and anti-mold. They have high water absorption and dries quickly.
